AltruBio is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company founded to discover, create, test, and deliver transformative medicines to treat patients who suffer from immune related inflammatory disease. We develop novel mechanisms to bring meaningful medicines to patients, including our first-in-class antibody program targeting a variety of autoimmune and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Founded as AltruBio in 2020, leveraging advancements from 20 years of scientific discovery, we currently run a Ph1b program in steroid refractory graft vs. host disease, as well as front-line graft vs. host disease. A second program is expected to file an IND in 2022. Our focus on scientific excellence and rapid execution aim to translate today’s discoveries into tomorrow’s medicines. We have U.S. offices in San Francisco, CA and an R&D lab in Taipei, Taiwan. About the Positions

Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will: • Be responsible for the annual operating budget, in partnership with the functional leaders & budget managers • Prepare quarterly forecast updates based upon new developments, changes in assumptions, and business trends • Provide budget-to-actual variance analyses for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for at functional and company level • Provide functional/department leaders business partnering support, through financial modeling and pro-forma analyses to support strategic decision making in day-to-day operations and new initiatives • Support company business development activities with financial modeling for strategic partnerships, collaboration programs and licensing activities • Conduct in-depth capital budgeting and investments analyses (ROI, payback, etc.) • Support contract analysis and negotiations for CRO and CMO agreements • Develop, evolve, and publish regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends • Lead process initiatives to improve and automate key finance processes, including forecasting and reporting • Collaborate effectively with both internal finance team members and outsourced finance partners in a distributed team

REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS in business administration, finance, or accounting with CPA and/or MBA preferred • Minimum ten years’ experience in FP&A capacity, including team building/managerial responsibility • Strong, working knowledge of accounting principles and finance concepts • Ability to anticipate issues, ensure data integrity and accuracy of details while being capable of higher-level interpretation and explanation • Demonstrated history of financial modeling with business partner mindset • Demonstrated problem solving techniques and analytical skills • Experience with ERP and other relevant operational applications within Biotech/ Pharma industry • Extensive use of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills • The ideal candidate will have experience working in applicable Biotech / Pharma industry FP&A role • Prior experience in a startup, fast growth company with understanding of how to scale business systems is a plus • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent judgment and a business-partner mentality • Attention to detail, drives tasks to closure efficiently with error-free results • Ability to facilitate and contribute to collaborative decision-making processes and work effectively within cross-functional teams. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation/public speaking skills. • Experience operating with candid transparency, professionalism, strong emotional intelligence, and the highest degree of integrity.
